We are incredibly proud to celebrate NWSD alumnus Patrick Ferguson on being selected as one of the winners of the Youth Makers Programme.




Patrick’s journey with NWSD began in 2017 after winning the prestigious Bursary in 2016. Since then, he has continued to grow his creative vision, building a fashion brand defined by dedication, craftsmanship and innovation.

Through the Youth Makers Programme, Patrick has received mentorship from Woolworths and is now preparing to launch PF by Patrick Ferguson — a ready-to-wear collection that marks an exciting new chapter for his brand alongside his couture work.

His achievement is a testament to years of hard work, perseverance and belief in his craft. We are inspired to see one of our graduates making such a meaningful impact in the South African fashion industry.

Congratulations, Patrick. We cannot wait to see what lies ahead.

We are incredibly proud of Masera, our third-year fashion design student, for being featured in Maglera Online Magazine.

Through her brand, RahRahRogue, Masera blends bold individuality, vibrant colour, textured fabrics, and upcycled elements inspired by South African street culture and heritage. Her work is fearless, authentic, and deeply rooted in identity.

What started as a dream between Janet and Marinet Potgieter turned into something really powerful — a platform that celebrates real people, real bodies, and real creativity.

From a small first show to a full house at Snowflake Venue, North West Fashion Flair is growing into something the North West can be proud of.

We also loved seeing our NWSD students and alumni shine on that runway (as always).
