This morning, the Toyota Wessels Institute for Manufacturing Studies (TWIMS) hosted the breakfast seminar: “What Is Limiting Us From Achieving the Benefits of the Lean Management System? – An Ubuntu Perspective” featuring Dr Michael Ballé and facilitated by Khavitha Singh.

The discussion explored how Lean Management extends beyond systems, tools, and efficiency highlighting the importance of trust, collaboration, leadership, and people-centred thinking in achieving sustainable operational excellence.
