Accessing DICOM images on a CD is slow and frustrating for most users, that's if they can even be read. I'm surprised to see that CD's are still so entrenched as a sharing media in the USA. I can understand it in South Africa as our internet network infrastructure needs to be upgraded before real access to online radiology images can be achieved for patients.
