South Cape TVET College, in collaboration with UNISA: Higher Certificate in Education (NQF Level 5)

Stream: Foundation Phase and Intermediate Phase
o Total Credits: 120 | Duration: 1 year
o Closing Date: 30 September 2026 (LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE)

Purpose of the Qualification
• To provide access to candidates with potential who otherwise would not meet the minimum entry requirements for Degree studies.
• This Higher Certificate in Education is the only Higher Certificate articulating into the UNISA Bachelor of Education Foundation and Intermediate phase qualifications.

• Compulsory contact sessions at George - Mossel Bay - Oudtshoorn campuses in addition to UNISA Online and Distance Modes
• Study support

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
National Senior Certificate (NSC) APS Score 18 Minimum 40% in Language of Teaching and Learning. OR Senior Certificate (SC) E on HG or D on SG in Language of Teaching and Learning. OR National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Minimum 40% in Language of Teaching and Learning.

REQUIRED CERTIFIED DOCUMENTS (not older than 3 months)
• Copy of your highest school qualification
• Copy of your identity document | smart ID card (both sides)
• Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of proof of address in applicant's name

o Previous UNISA student number (if applicable)
o Previous South Cape TVET College student number (if applicable)
o Active email address

What a fantastic day of sport, team spirit and camaraderie! ☀️🏐⚽️🏉

The weather was perfect, the competition was strong, and the excellent sportsmanship displayed by our students made the day truly memorable.

A heartfelt thank you to our support staff, coaches, match officials, lecturers and, most importantly, our students for your dedication, enthusiasm and contribution to making the event a success. 👏
