Happening now at Impala Stadium!

Mopani TVET College is hosting a vibrant Wellness Day where staff members are actively participating in fun and engaging activities aimed at promoting health, teamwork, and wellness. Activities of the day include a fun walk, soccer, aerobics, netball, volleyball, and tug of war.

Mopani TVET College is joined by the Department of Health’s Maphuta Malatji Hospital, Mpumalanga Department of Education Buhlabela District and the SANDF.

The college is awarding top-performing students in all National certificate vocational and NATED/Report 191 programmes from our Sir Val Duncan campus. This is in line with their outstanding academic performance from the previous academic year. Overall Best Student Winner - Masinga K.H recognised for academic excellence

Congratulations to Masinga K.H, currently a Level 3 student in NCV: Electrical Infrastructure and Construction, for being recognised as the Overall Best Student for his outstanding performance during Level 2 in 2025.

Speaking about his achievement, Masinga shared that receiving the award “means the world” to him, as it reflects the hard work, discipline, and determination he invested throughout his academic journey. He explained that past disappointments motivated him to work even harder and strive for success.

Masinga believes that consistency and good time management played a major role in helping him stand out academically. Although being named the Overall Best Student felt overwhelming, he expressed gratitude for the recognition and support he received along the way.

He also encouraged fellow students to remain focused and committed to their dreams, reminding them that hard work and perseverance can lead to great achievements. Masinga gave special thanks to his mother for her continuous support and encouragement throughout his studies.

Congratulations once again on this outstanding achievement and for setting an inspiring example to other students at Mopani TVET College Sir Val Duncan Campus.

The college is today hosting day two of its student awards ceremonies, taking place at Sir val duncan campus. The college will today award and recognise best perfoming student from engineering programmes for their outstanding academic perfomance . Campus Manager, Mr MJ Mabuza officially welcomed students and congratulated all award recipients for their hard work and dedication. He also encouraged other students to take inspiration from today's achievers and continue working hard, reminding them that hard work always brings good results.

The ceremony continues to celebrate academic excellence, determination, and the commitment of students who continue to make the college proud through their hard work and dedication to their studies.

“There were moments when situations felt tough and uncertain, but I kept believing in myself and stayed focused on my goals,” said Shayi Dipolelo after being awarded best student in Financial Management N4.

She highlighted that all great things do not come easy and one has to work hard for them. For her, self-discipline, dedication, and the courage to keep pushing forward during difficult times was the fomula to her success.

She moreover expressed gratitude to her lecturers, family, and friends for their continuous support, encouragement, and consistent belief in her potential .

Sharing her message to fellow students, she said: “all your efforts , big or small will be rewarded one day . Do not lose hope or give up , your time is coming. Let books be your closest friend, stay focused and never lose sight of your goals”.
