It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Buti Mogorosi - member of the North-West University Emergency Services.

Buti joined NWU Emergency Services in 2022 as an emergency services candidate. He very quickly proved himself to be an energetic, committed, and valuable member of the service. On 28 November 2023 Buti was awarded the "NWU Emergency Services Candidate of the Year - 2023" award, for his exceptional dedication, service and growth as an emergency services member.

Buti, thank you for your loyal and selfless service to the North-West University, its students and staff. You exemplified the ethic of care and professionalism in your interaction with others, especially those in need. Your energy, friendliness, sense of humour and camaraderie will be sorely missed.

NWU Emergency Services would also like to convey our thoughts, prayers and condolences to Buti’s family, friends, colleagues at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Education, as well as the coaches, players and members of NWU Sport. Buti indeed touched a great number of lives.
