Big ideas with real impact. 👏

We’re excited to celebrate Luthando Sibozo, one of our 2nd year MBA students at the TSB, for being featured in Daily Maverick.

Luthando developed the Efunda Learning Management System (LMS). A platform created to help schools and parents stay better connected. By giving parents real-time access to learner progress, the platform encourages more meaningful involvement at home while also making communication easier for educators.

This is the kind of innovation that reminds us education doesn’t only happen in classrooms, sometimes it starts with a bold idea and the courage to build it. 🚀

At the TSB, we are intentional about exposing our students to the leaders shaping industry and society.

During a recent closed MBA Webinar Series session, our MBA and PDBA students had the unique opportunity to engage with Yershen Pillay, CEO of Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority, in an insightful conversation exploring leadership, transformation, innovation, and the evolving future of South Africa’s workforce.

The session was interactive, thought-provoking, and inspiring, giving students direct access to executive-level insights and real-world strategic perspectives beyond the classroom.

A powerful reminder that meaningful learning happens when academia and industry come together to prepare future leaders to lead for impact.

Our MBA Year Two cohort has officially landed in Germany 🇩🇪

First stop began in the vibrant city of Berlin, where our students explored the cultural, historical, and economic landscape of one of Europe’s leading global cities ahead of an exciting week of international learning and engagement.

As part of their International Business module, the cohort will spend the week experiencing global business in action, gaining international exposure, and learning more about global markets and leadership beyond the classroom.

The group was guided around Berlin by Professor Mike from Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, setting the tone for a transformative academic and cultural experience.

The Tshwane School for Business & Society also proudly celebrates the conferral of an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa) upon Mpho Makwana by the Tshwane University of Technology.

A respected business leader and governance specialist, Makwana’s distinguished career spans over three decades across both the public and private sectors, where he has led with vision, integrity, and strategic impact.

This honour recognises his remarkable contribution to business leadership, institutional governance, and South Africa’s developmental agenda, particularly his leadership of complex institutions during pivotal moments of national importance.

At TSB, we celebrate leaders whose influence extends beyond boardrooms to creating meaningful impact in society. Mpho Makwana’s journey reflects the values of ethical leadership, resilience, and transformative impact that we seek to cultivate in our graduates.
