FROM STRATEGY TO IMPACT: RECALIBRATING TNC FOR PERFORMANCE, ACCOUNTABILITY AND A FUTURE-READY TVET COLLEGE

Tshwane North TVET College (TNC) is convening a Strategic Planning and Governance Workshop focused on enhancing institutional performance, accountability and organisational effectiveness.

📍 Venue: The Capital Hotel, Menlyn Maine
📅 Date: 4–5 September 2026
🎯 Theme: “From Strategy to Impact: Recalibrating TNC for Performance, Accountability and a Future-Ready TVET College.”

The workshop is facilitated by Ms S. Nxesi and commenced with the official opening and contextualisation by the Chairperson of the TNC College Council, Mr Phidane.

This was followed by an overview of the purpose and objectives of the workshop by the College Principal, Ms Thembi Tsibogo, setting the tone for focused engagements on strengthening institutional performance and translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes.

The programme also features key presentations and engagements by:
🔹 Mr C. Masithi, Deputy Principal: Academic
🔹 Ms T. Vilakazi, Senior MIS Officer
🔹 Mr M. Lamola, Manager: Office of the Principal
🔹 Mr I. Modiba, who is addressing the translation of revised priorities into the 2027 commitments and targets.

The workshop provides an important platform for leadership and governance structures to reflect, recalibrate and align institutional priorities, ensuring that TNC’s strategy is translated into meaningful impact for students, staff and stakeholders.

✂️ BECOME A PROFESSIONAL HAIRDRESSER

This qualification prepares learners to operate as professional Hairdressers, with skills in:

✔️ Hair and scalp treatments
✔️ Hair cutting and styling
✔️ Chemical hairdressing services
✔️ Professional and safe salon practices
✔️ Environmentally responsible hairdressing practices

🎓 MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

• Have Grade 12 with experience and/or a passion for Hairdressing
• Be a resident of Pretoria
• Be between 18 and 35 years old
• Be a South African citizen
• Not have participated in any SETA-funded Internship, Apprenticeship or Learnership

• Certified copy of ID (not older than 3 months)
• Relevant qualification
• Proof of residence
