Baptist Theological College BTC is proudly Evangelical in its theological orientation where the Bible is the cornerstone of all Its goal then was to prepare pastors for Baptist churches.

In 1951 the Baptist Union of Southern Africa established The Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa. Over the years the college has established itself as one of the premier ministry training institutions in the country. The focus has broadened significantly to include the training of pastors, youth pastors and missionaries. The narrow denominational focus has changed, and the college now w

elcomes students from all denominational and church backgrounds who are willing to accept our statement of faith.

Last Friday, we had such a blessed and wonderful day! We spent quality time with the students and some of the faculty during our College Day.
We played games, laughed, shared joy, read the Bible, and fellowshipped together to our hearts’ content. ❤️ What a beautiful time of connection, encouragement, and simply enjoying one another’s company.

We are truly grateful for the memories made and for the opportunity to share God’s love and fellowship with such wonderful people. 🙏✨

This past Wednesday, we had the joy of hosting a student-led chapel service, with the entire service placed fully in the hands of our students. What a blessing it was to see them step up, serve, and share!
Masego led the service, and we were blessed to hear from three of our students, each sharing a powerful message in under five minutes… although one speaker made it to 8 minutes 👀😂.

“The Message We Carry and Our Responsibility to It”

Each message reminded us of God’s calling, His preparation, and the responsibility we have to faithfully carry the message He has entrusted to us.

To tie everything together, our Second Years treated us to a short play, adding a wonderful and memorable finish to the service.

We are so thankful for our students and the way they continue to grow in faith, courage, and leadership. What a blessing it was! 🙌🏽

Reading is a hidden yet significant part of theology, and here at BTC, we strongly encourage our students to engage deeply with it. Theology books, paired with our course material, help students explore profound and challenging theological topics from a broader perspective.
But we believe theology goes beyond simply reading and gaining knowledge. At BTC, we seek to take what we learn from the classroom and books and bring it into practical life. Our goal is to help students not only understand theology but also live it out, connecting deep theological thinking with faith, ministry, and everyday practice.
