We are pleased to share that the induction programme for our Experiential Learning (1INF410) students at Mhlathuze Municipality was a great success.

This marks an important milestone as our students begin their practical learning journey, where they will gain valuable real-world experience and apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment.

We sincerely appreciate Mhlathuze Municipality for accommodating our students and for their continued support in developing future information professionals. Your commitment to student growth and community development is truly valued.

We wish our students all the best as they embark on this enriching experience.

The Department of Information Studies recently organized a three-day academic trip for its students, held from 10th-13th November 2025. During this enriching experience, our students had the opportunity to visit the:
1. National Library of South Africa
2. UNISA Library
3. SABC.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Information Studies Society for working hand in hand with the Department to ensure the success of this trip. Special thanks also go to our gracious hosts for their warm welcome and for sharing valuable insights into the practical aspects of the profession, helping our students bridge the gap between theory and real-world practice.

A sincere appreciation to Dr. Zungu for accompanying the students and ensuring the smooth running of the trip. Your dedication and guidance are truly appreciated.
