Prophet, why do you wear miter?
The miter is the crown of a bishop in Christianity or high priest in Judaism. It represents and symbolizes many things:
1. Authority of the Christ we represents.
The elders in heaven wear crowns of righteousness and they bow before Christ because they and we acknowledge Christ as our head or as the one whose authority we represents according to
Revelation 4:10-11.
In the tradition of the church, the 24 elders represents the 12 patriarchs of Israel, and the 12 apostles of Jesus of Nazareth. The patriarchs represents the congregations of Israel before Christ, while the apostles represent christian congregations before Christ.
Each ecumenical bishop or chief apostle represents one apostle of Christ, that's what we call "apostolic succession." The popes of the Roman Catholic church traces their apostolic succession through Peter. The Orthodox church through Andrew, I trace mine through John. The protestants traces whatever they traces through Martin Luther their founder.
NOTE â ď¸
The practice of wearing crown did not start with the Roman Catholic church as most ignorant protestants claim. As we see it is not only practiced on earth, even in heaven the elders wear crowns. This practice was first revealed by Elohim Jehovah Himself to Moses, according to Exodus26:36-38.
When a high priest wears it or when a bishop wears it, it is sign of holiness of the congregation or congregations or communities he or we represents.
It also serves as a reminder to the bishop or high priest to serve in holiness remembering that Christ is the head and He is watching. Hence when we wear this, there is a sense of consciousness to holiness, humility, and mindfulness of the authority of Christ and his integrity that we represents.
