Dawn Early Intervention Centre for Autism

Dawn Early Intervention Centre for Autism Dawn is a centre that specialises in intervention for young learners on the autism spectrum. We are based in the cape winelands in the town of Somerset West.

We enrol learners from age 18months through age 5 years and have an eclectic, team- based approach, working closely with parents as well as occupational and speech therapists. The adaptations and strategies we use include:

- small classes
- High staff to learner ratio
- Visual schedules
- PECS
- Makaton
- TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communications Handicapped Children)
- Sensory Integration
