As weโ€™ve discussed previously, complex traits and disorders are those which are influenced by a personโ€™s genetics, their environment and lifestyle factors. It therefore goes without saying that the studying of these two entities is a little less straightforward than studying a trait or disease that is caused solely by one genetic mutation (as in monogenic traits and disorders).
