The University of Venda proudly congratulates Manenzhe Tshilidzi, a Bachelor of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Health Care student, on achieving 4th Place at the Indigenous Knowledge-Based Technology Innovation Summit Business Pitch Competition.
Tshilidzi showcased Mupo BioSol, an innovative agricultural venture that transforms indigenous medicinal plants into natural bio-pesticides. The initiative offers a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to chemical pesticides, helping farmers protect their crops while promoting food security and preserving indigenous knowledge.
Driven by a passion for agriculture and innovation, Tshilidzi's idea demonstrates how Indigenous Knowledge Systems can be harnessed to address real-world challenges, support local communities, and contribute to sustainable development.
This achievement reflects the creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit of UNIVEN students in developing solutions that are both locally relevant and globally competitive.
Congratulations, Tshilidzi, on this remarkable achievement. Your success continues to inspire the University community and highlights the transformative power of Indigenous Knowledge and innovation.
