Kenneth Kaunda Day 🇿🇲
Today, we pause to honour the life and enduring legacy of Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda Zambia’s founding President, a statesman, a peacemaker, and a father of the nation.
Born on this day, April 28, 1924, KK gave his life to a cause greater than himself: the freedom, dignity, and unity of the Zambian people. Guided by the philosophy of humanism, he led with a heart that believed in the worth of every person and the power of togetherness.
His voice carried the rallying cry that still echoes across our land One Zambia, One Nation a call not just to patriotism, but to love one another across tribe, region, and difference.
As we celebrate his memory today, may we carry forward what he stood for servant leadership, compassion in action, and an unshakeable commitment to peace.
The legend lives on. 🕊️
