Francis John Mbewe is a Year 3 Bachelor of Business Administration student at Copperbelt University, majoring in Accounting and Marketing.
He served as Programs Coordinator for the IIA CBU Chapter, where he helped coordinate events, professional tours, and engagement initiatives that connected students with practicing professionals in internal audit and related fields.
Beyond IIA, Francis is the Secretary General of Youth Service Zambia, a role through which he coordinates community service initiatives and youth-focused programs.
He previously served as a NAPSA iCARE Campaign Facilitator, where he helped drive over 600 student registrations, and has been involved in IIA CBU committee and publicity work spanning more than 10 events and 2,000+ attendees, including organizing the Bank of Zambia (Ndola) tour and a 7-day Lusaka Industrial Tour across 11 organisations.
Francis is known for his organisational ability, attention to detail, and skill in translating professional development ideas into structured, well-documented programs-from event briefings to social media coverage that keeps members and the public informed. He also runs an independent content and ghostwriting practice focused on financial and tax literacy content for finance, audit, and accounting professionals in Zambia.
As an outgoing executive member, Francis leaves the Chapter with a track record of consistent, hands-on contribution to its programs, and remains committed to supporting the professional development of accounting and audit students at CBU going forward.
