WHILE Zambia still faces the struggle of shortage of health professionals in the
hospitals and the various health facilities, the country still has a low number of health professionals graduating each year to meet the deficit, particularly medical doctors. The Lusaka Apex Medical University strives to make its contribution to the present need for highly qualified health professionals. We realize t

he need for students of the faculty of medicine to get actively involved in the affairs of the running of our faculty and the program; Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).We are determined to promote quality, excellence, exceptional standards of training of all medical students regardless of nationality, ethnic origin,
gender, political affiliation, disability status, social and economic status; and we are aware that an organized Medical Student Movement is
necessary to ensure unity of purpose and goal oriented action
We the medical students of the Lusaka Apex Medical University are:
• Determined to promote excellent education for development;
• Eager to create a conducive environment for the governance of medical student affairs in a coordinated and transparent manner.
