The University of Lusaka (UNILUS) has extended its partnership with MeCan Medical Limited, building on the collaboration established in September 2025 to support students through scholarships.

Following the positive working relationship developed over the past year, the partnership has now been extended for three years. Under the renewed agreement, MeCan Medical will provide three partial scholarships for three academic years, allowing high-performing undergraduate students facing financial challenges to continue their studies.

UNILUS is grateful to MeCan Medical for its continued commitment to supporting education and young people in Zambia. The University looks forward to strengthening this partnership and creating more opportunities for students in the years ahead. ๐Ÿค๐ŸŽ“

Public Health students from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences proudly participated in a waste paper recycling initiative at Fulcom Paper Mills.

โš–๏ธ BRIDGING LEGAL THEORY WITH PRACTICAL APPLICATION

The University of Lusaka School of Law, in collaboration with iSettle MC, hosted a practical workshop on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) at the Leopards Hill Campus.

The workshop provided students with valuable insight into mediation, negotiation and other ADR mechanisms, while exploring the evolving role of alternative dispute resolution within the broader administration of justice.

The session featured Honourable Lady Justice Abha Nayar Patel, S.C., FCIArb, Supreme Court Judge, who shared valuable judicial insight and expertise on the development and application of ADR in Zambia.

Students also benefited from the expertise of Mary Mutupa, Founder and Managing Partner of iSettle MC, whose contribution brought practical industry perspectives to the discussion.

Through engagements such as these, the UNILUS School of Law continues to create opportunities that bridge classroom learning with real-world legal practice, equipping future legal professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to navigate the evolving justice system.

Konkola Secondary Trust School from Chililabombwe, Copperbelt Province, visited the University of Lusaka (UNILUS) Silverest Campus for a career talk.

During their visit, the pupils toured the Life Sciences Laboratory, the University of Lusaka Teaching Hospital, the Library and the Sports Field. They also had the opportunity to interact with our faculty staff and learn more about the academic programmes, career opportunities and student life at UNILUS.
