🧪 LAB WEEK 2026 – COBUBA
The Copperbelt University Biomedical Students Association (COBUBA), in collaboration with Biomed Pioneers and HABAI, is excited to invite you to Lab Week 2026 a community centered initiative aimed at bridging laboratory science and patient care.

📅 Date: 1st May 2026
⏰ Time: 08:00 – 12:00 hrs
📍 Venue: Masala Clinic & Masala Main Market
Under the theme:

“To infinity and beyond for our patients From bench to the community: 4 tests that save lives,”

this event highlights the critical role biomedical professionals play in improving health outcomes beyond the laboratory.
During this outreach, participants will have the opportunity to engage in:

🔬 Blood Grouping – Promoting awareness of blood types and their importance in transfusion medicine
🧫 Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) – Educating the community on responsible antibiotic use and resistance prevention
🎗 Cervical Cancer Awareness – Encouraging early screening and preventive practices
🧬 STIs Awareness – Providing information on prevention, testing, and management

This initiative is designed not only to serve the community but also to strengthen practical skills, collaboration, and professional exposure among biomedical students. It’s a chance to translate theory into impact and contribute meaningfully to patient health.
