The Zambia University College of Technology (ZUT) recently facilitated an educational industry tour for 44 students from the School of ICT as part of our commitment to bridging academic learning with real-world industry experience.
On 22nd April 2026, our students visited Infratel, where they gained valuable insight into Zambia’s digital infrastructure and innovation initiatives such as the iHub, which promotes collaboration, innovation, and locally driven technological solutions.
The tour continued on 23rd April 2026 with visits to ZAMREN and Digital Safe Limited.
At ZAMREN, students learned about research and education networking and the role it plays in supporting academic collaboration and high-speed connectivity.
At Digital Safe, students were exposed to practical cybersecurity concepts, industry expectations, and the importance of hands-on technical skills in today’s digital landscape.
The tour provided students with valuable exposure to the evolving tech ecosystem and reinforced the importance of innovation, continuous learning, networking, and industry-ready skills.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Infratel, ZAMREN, and Digital Safe for opening their doors to our students and for sharing valuable industry knowledge and experiences. Your support plays an important role in shaping the next generation of technology professionals.
At ZUT, we remain committed to producing graduates who are equipped for the demands of the modern digital world.
