ANNOUNCEMENT! ABSTRACT ACCEPTED!

We are thrilled to share that our abstract, "A Research and Mentoring Symposium for Medical Trainees in Africa Promotes Scientific Learning and Interest in Research," has been accepted for presentation at the Conference on Public Health in Africa .

Our paper analyzes our annual symposium that was co-hosted by The Copperbelt University-SOM Mentorship program in collaboration with Young Emerging Scientists Zambia and Women in Nuclear Zambia in 2022. And the good news doesn't stop there - our abstract will be published in the Journal of Public Health in Africa.

Join us in Lusaka, Zambia, from November 27-30, 2023, as we explore the power of engaging civil society, the private sector, and local philanthropy in advancing healthcare in Africa.

This year, at the 4th annual medical research and mentorship symposium, we honored Dr. Mutale Chileshe-Chibangula by presenting students with the *Dr Chileshe Award: Best Overall Research*

Dr Mutale Chileshe-Chibangula was a mentor, teacher and chairperson of The Copperbelt University-SOM Mentorship program

Congratulations to the recipients on this accolade!

In first place, case reports had a tie with Emmanuel Mukambo from The Copperbelt University : School Of Medicine 🇿🇲 and Norah Ndambo from UNZA Ridgeway Campus 🇿🇲
