Join us for the opening of MATTERING this Sunday.

Mattering is about things that matter and the matter of things. To matter is to give value. Matter is what our universe is made of.

In this exhibition, the artists explore these ideas through the action of mattering: transformation and manifestation, giving form to energy, memory and imagination.

We are proud to see LCAD alumni Rani Amvrazis, Saraid Banahan and Natalie Soo exhibiting alongside LCAD teachers Saraid Banahan, Jackie Ralph and Penny Walker-Keefe.

The exhibition then runs until Sunday 28 September, Thursday-Sunday, 11am-4pm.

See you at the opening. No tickets. No charge. Open to all.

Congratulations LCAD alumni, who was recently awarded the Valda Cuming memorial award by for her fabulous soft sculpture, 'My Lovely Little Creepy Glamorous Mouse'.

About the work:
"I was inspired by a viral photo of the 'Vacanti mouse'; a lab mouse growing a human ear on its back, that was going around in 1997 the year I was born. The sculpture is a commentary on wealth and excess and the apparently limitless boundaries of what money can buy and the tension between ethics and wealth."
