Green University of Bangladesh successfully conducted a comprehensive Fire Safety Awareness and Emergency Evacuation Drill with the active participation of administrative officials, Security Section personnel, MLSS members, drivers, helpers, and canteen staff.

The program was organized as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and prepared campus environment. The session included awareness discussions on fire prevention, emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, emergency exit routes, assembly points, and the proper use of firefighting equipment installed across the campus.

Practical scenario-based fire drill exercises were also conducted to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities.

The keynote session was delivered by Captain (Navy) Shaikh Mohammad Salahuddin, (TAS), NGP, psc (retd), Registrar of Green University of Bangladesh, whose guidance inspired participants to strengthen safety awareness and collective responsibility across the campus community.

The university also expressed its intention to organize a full-scale firefighting and emergency evacuation exercise in collaboration with Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence in June 2026.

The CQI & PSAC Committee of the Department of CSE at Green University of Bangladesh organized a workshop titled “Alumni–Academia Synergy for Continuous Quality Improvement” on 16 May 2026 at Venue A-302.

The workshop brought together faculty members and alumni to strengthen collaboration between academia and graduates through discussions on accreditation, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

The event featured Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Professor of the Department of CSE, as the keynote speaker. The session was moderated by Syed Ahsanul Kabir, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of CSE.

The program included alumni feedback, interactive discussions, digital surveys, and future roadmap planning, making the event insightful and productive for all participants.

Faculty members Mr. Shariful Islam and Mrs. Mehenaj Binte Amin from the Department of Law at Green University of Bangladesh successfully participated in the “Model Labour Law Curriculum Development Bootcamp” organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) under its Advancing Decent Work in Bangladesh (ADWIB) project. The three-day bootcamp was held from 15–17 May 2026 at Dream Square Resort, Sreepur, Gazipur.

The program aimed to modernize labour law education in Bangladesh by integrating International Labour Standards into legal education and strengthening teaching and research practices. Academics and labour law experts from various universities across the country participated in the initiative to collaboratively develop a model labour law curriculum for LLB programs.

Representing Green University, the faculty members actively contributed to curriculum development sessions, particularly on the thematic area of discrimination and international labour standards.

The workshop featured sessions conducted by distinguished international labour law experts and focused on key issues including freedom of association, collective bargaining, child labour, forced labour, labour inspection, and discrimination.

It is also noteworthy that Mrs. Mehenaj Binte Amin will continue collaborating with the International Labour Organization (ILO) in the future development of curriculum materials related to labour law and international labour standards.
