تستضيف مكتبة الإسكندرية، من خلال مركز دراسات الإسكندرية وحضارة البحر المتوسط (Alex-Med) بقطاع البحث الأكاديمي، ورشة العمل الدولية «أصوات الإسكندرية: المشاركة في ابتكار فضاءات حضرية تاريخية شاملة»، التي ينظمها قسم العمارة ومعمل التحول الحضري (CT Lab - City Transformations Lab) بكلية الفنون الجميلة – جامعة الإسكندرية، خلال الفترة من 2 إلى 7 نوفمبر 2026.
وتُعقد الورشة بالشراكة مع جامعة باوهاوس فايمار بجمهورية ألمانيا الاتحادية، وجامعة سيدة اللويزة بالجمهورية اللبنانية، والكلية العلمية للتصميم بسلطنة عُمان، بهدف تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي الدولي وتبادل الخبرات بين الطلاب والأكاديميين في مجال العمارة والتخطيط الحضري.
وتركز الورشة على تطوير تصورات مبتكرة لصناعة المكان في المركز التاريخي لمدينة الإسكندرية، من خلال استكشاف سبل تعزيز المشاركة المجتمعية في تشكيل الفضاءات الحضرية، بما يراعي الخصائص التاريخية والثقافية للمدينة ويدعم تحقيق بيئة عمرانية أكثر شمولًا واستدامة. وتأتي الورشة في إطار مشروع «مدن شاملة: حوارات سياقية حول المشاركة المجتمعية من أجل مستقبل حضري مستدام»، الممول من الهيئة الألمانية للتبادل الأكاديمي (DAAD).
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, through its Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center (Alex-Med), is hosting the international workshop “Voices of Alexandria: Participating in the Making of Inclusive Historic Urban Spaces,” organized by the Department of Architecture and the City Transformation Lab (CT Lab) at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University, from 2 to 7 November 2026.
The workshop is held in partnership with Bauhaus University Weimar (Germany), Notre Dame University–Louaize (Lebanon), and the Scientific College of Design (Oman), with the aim of strengthening international academic cooperation and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise among students and academics in the fields of architecture and urban planning.
The workshop focuses on developing innovative placemaking concepts for the historic center of Alexandria by exploring ways to enhance community participation in shaping urban spaces, while taking into consideration the city's historical and cultural characteristics and promoting a more inclusive and sustainable urban environment.
The workshop is part of the project “Inclusive Cities: Contextual Dialogues on Community Participation for a Sustainable Urban Future,” funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
