The British University in Egypt has signed a strategic Academic and Research Collaboration Agreement with the University of Leeds, marking a significant step in expanding international academic partnerships.

The agreement builds on the successful collaboration between the Faculties of Dentistry at both institutions, which, together with partner universities in Brazil and Egypt, co-developed an international Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) programme on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). This successful initiative laid the foundation for a broader university-wide partnership that will foster student opportunities, collaborative research, faculty exchange, joint academic programmes, and the sharing of knowledge and expertise.

Signed by Professor Mohamed Loutfi MBE, President and Vice-Chancellor of The British University in Egypt, and Professor Hai Sui Yu, Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Leeds, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing excellence in education, research, innovation, and global engagement.

🏥 **Bringing Smiles to Matrouh: Our Latest Dental Convoy in Al-Balah Village!** 🌟
Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Loutfi, MBE, President of The British University in Egypt, Prof. Tarek Abbas , Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Health Cluster, Prof. Fardos Rizk , Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Prof. Dalia Ghalwash , Vice Dean for Community Service & Enterprise, the Medical Convoys Administration successfully organized a targeted dental convoy in Al-Balah Village, Matrouh Governorate.
Continuing our mission to provide exceptional healthcare across Egypt, our dedicated teams delivered focused dental care and health awareness to the local community.

🇬🇧 From Cairo to London: BUE Dentistry Shines at King’s College London! 🦷✨
​An extraordinary international journey draws to a triumphant close! Following a highly competitive selection process, our brilliant BUE Dentistry students traveled to the UK for the prestigious King’s College London Student Exchange Program, under the dedicated supervision of program Director, Assoc. Prof. Engy Farag.
​Over the course of this intensive clinical and academic program, our students truly proved why they are the future leaders of dental education. Here is a look back at their incredible journey:
​🚀 The Global Exchange Highlights:
🔹 Advanced Restorative Training: Students kicked off their experience at the King’s College Continuing Education Center with the intensive "Perfect Prep" masterclass, moving straight to the phantom head labs for advanced, hands-on training in preparations for adhesive restorations.
🔹 Mastering Clinical Occlusion: The training shifted into high gear as students delved deeper into structural cavity designs and underwent comprehensive training on the complex mechanics of occlusion and its precise clinical registration techniques.
🔹 Exceptional Clinical Proficiency: Throughout the rigorous lab sessions, our students stood out globally, demonstrating a remarkably high level of manual skill, clinical proficiency, and adaptability.
🔹 Cultural Immersion & Memories: When the lab coats came off, the team fully immersed themselves in the rich heritage and profound history of England, exploring London's most iconic landmarks and building lifelong bonds.
🔹 The Joint Certification: The program culminated in a historic milestone! The team successfully concluded their journey with an official presentation, proudly receiving joint certificates that bear the prestigious crests of both King’s College London and The British University in Egypt.
