The Faculty of Dentistry at The British University in Egypt is pleased to announce the launch of the Prof. Ayoub Orthognathic Surgery Fellowship.
Led by the esteemed Prof. Ashraf Ayoub alongside a team of local and international experts, this comprehensive program focuses on enhancing the diagnosis and management of dentofacial deformities through a multidisciplinary approach.

🔬 Program Highlights:
🔹 Hands-On Clinical Experience: Extensive training that includes direct patient care, 3D digital planning, model surgery, and operating room sessions.
🔹 Multidisciplinary Integration: Close collaboration between surgeons, orthodontists, clinical psychologists, and maxillofacial lab technologists.
🔹 Flexible Structure: A 6-week, non-residential program (3 days/week) structured to accommodate the schedules of practicing clinicians.

This specialized fellowship is tailored for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and Orthodontic practitioners—as well as newly established surgical-orthodontic teams—with over five years of clinical experience seeking to advance their practical knowledge and patient care strategies.

Today, the Faculty of Dentistry at The British University in Egypt had the distinct honor of hosting a highly impactful guest lecture session, organized at the special invitation of Prof. Amr Amin Ghanem , Head of the Maxillofacial Surgery Department.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our globally distinguished speakers:
🔹 Prof. Ashraf Messiha – Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at St. George’s Hospital and Former President of the Royal Medical Society.
🔹 Dr. Massimiliano Guglielmi, MD – Consultant Anesthesiologist.

🔹 2,491 Total Medical Services Provided: Our cross-faculty teams delivered extensive care across multiple specialties, allowing individuals to benefit from more than one clinic. With dental care serving as the primary pillar of the convoy (50.2% of all services), registered cases included:
• 1,250 Dental cases treated
• 523 Pharmacy beneficiaries served
• 345 Internal Medicine cases
• 313 Orthopedic cases
• 60 Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) cases
🔹 10,000 EGP in Free Medication: Generously donated by Pharco Pharmaceuticals and dispensed by our pharmacy team.
🔹 2,200 Oral Care Kits Distributed: Supporting our vital medical screenings and health & mental health awareness sessions, 1,200 toothbrush and toothpaste sets from Signal and 1,000 toothpaste tubes from Sensodyne were distributed to promote daily oral hygiene.

Fardos Rizk , Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Prof. Dalia Ghalwash , Vice Dean for Community Service & Enterprise, the Faculty of Dentistry in collaboration with the The British University in Egypt - Faculty of Pharmacy Pharmacy, the Faculty of Nursing , and the The British University in Egypt - Faculty of Physiotherapy successfully organized a comprehensive medical and developmental convoy in Mit Abu El Kom, Menofia.
This special initiative, held under the patronage of Major General Amr El-Gharib (Menofia Governorate) and by the generous invitation of Senator Sameh El-Sadat, coincided with our national celebrations of the glorious 6th of October victories.

🔹 100,000 EGP in free medication provided
🔹 Special Cases/Community Impact: Our cross-faculty teams delivered extensive care across multiple specialties. This included treating 1,200 dental patients, 345 internal medicine cases, 313 orthopedic cases, and providing physical therapy to 532 individuals. We also conducted vital medical screenings and mental health awareness sessions for hundreds of residents.
Honoring history alongside healthcare, our participating team visited the museum of the late President Anwar El Sadat in his hometown, commemorating his enduring legacy.
