We are hugely grateful to College Tutors, Mildred and Harrison Ajebon, who, once again, prepared a wonderful African inspired lunch as part of our events for Black History Month. An immediate sell-out, this was a fantastic opportunity to come together for great food and conversation! Thank you so much to everyone involved. ❤️🖤💚

Our Chapel Choir very much enjoyed singing for Evensong at Durham Cathedral last night on the Feast of St Simon and St Jude. Music included the fantastic Vaughan Williams, O clap your hands with the canticles by Stanford and responses by Rose. Thank you again to the cathedral for the warm welcome!

A real privilege to welcome Professor Iain McGilchrist to deliver this year’s St Chad’s College SCR Cassidy Lecture. He spoke on “Our Brains, the Meaning Crisis, and the Need to Recover the Sacred” to a packed Quad - members of the JCR, MCR, SCR and guests.

A brilliant talk, great engagement and a fascinating series of conversations over dinner afterwards.

We enjoyed welcoming our new postgraduates last night at Postgraduate College Matriculation in the Chapel followed by the Welcome Formal.

It is such an exciting time of the year and a joy to see students from around the world joining us to study for an array of research and taught postgraduate degrees. New and exciting academic journeys ahead!

Delighted to welcome Peter Walker Sculptor to Chad’s today and to show him his statue of Chad in situ in Lightfoot Garden.
Really interesting to hear more about the work of this incredibly prolific and versatile artist.
