Heading to a scheduled teaching or learning session? If you are an international student with a visa or are on a BMBS, CEDAR, Doctor of Clinical Psychology, Medical Imaging or Nursing programme, remember to check in using the MyExeter app.

👉Just tap the button that appears when you arrive and your attendance is recorded. Easy! It’s an important part of your visa or programme requirements. If you can’t attend, let us know through the app.

Can’t make a scheduled session? Let us know
If you can’t attend a scheduled teaching or learning session – for instance because you’re unwell – you need to let us know, even if you don’t usually have to check in. You can do that easily via the MyExeter app. You’ll see a ‘Report Absence’ button in the app for every scheduled session.

⏰Time for the clocks to change - this weekend

The time will change in the UK this weekend. Clocks will go back 1 hour at 02:00 on Sunday (25 October). It means that it will get darker, earlier in the evening.

After the change, we’ll be in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Many digital devices, like your phone, will do this automatically, but you might want to check, especially if you have some set to overseas times.

The change means we get an extra hour of sleep on Saturday night. 😴

Floor 0 for quiet study: drop in desks plus new docking monitors if you want an additional screen. You'll also find our Ask Us desk and a kitchenette on this floor.

Floor -1 for group study: book a group study room, drop in to the group space, or book a study pod.

Floor 1 for silent study: drop in study rooms with adjustable desks, and bookable space in the Salz room.

🚨 Know the signs of meningitis 🚨

Even if you've had your vaccinations, it's important to know the signs and symptoms of meningitis. Vaccines offer excellent protection, but they're not 100% effective, and a friend or housemate could still become unwell.

If you think someone might have meningitis, get medical help urgently. It can become serious very quickly.

📞 Call 999 or go to A&E at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. Not sure? Contact NHS 111 online or call 111, available 24/7.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can affect people in different ways. Whether you’ve been diagnosed with ADHD or are wondering if an assessment might be helpful, you’re not alone, and support is available.

Our AccessAbility team, part of Student Wellbeing Services, offer advice and support if you have, or think you may have, a specific learning difference, such as ADHD. Search AccessAbility on our website to explore your options and access resources.
