As part of , the Department of Psychology would like to showcase the Healthy Ageing with an Active Mind programme, led by Dorothy Tse and Nicola van Rijsbergen.

The programme works closely with community groups to promote brain health awareness, healthy ageing, and conversations around wellbeing and dementia awareness. Through public engagement activities and community partnerships, the initiative aims to bridge research and real-world impact.

The programme reflects the Department’s commitment to using psychological and neuroscience research to support healthier, more connected communities.

At the Department of Psychology at Edge Hill University, our final-year students are not only learning about psychology, they are actively shaping conversations around education, learning, and development through their own independent research projects.
