The visit provided invaluable firsthand exposure to sugar manufacturing processes, industrial machinery, operational mechanisms, safety protocols, and quality control practices, effectively bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world industrial applications.
Director Dr.N.K. Singh emphasized the significance of experiential learning in cultivating technical competence, industrial awareness, and career readiness among aspiring engineers.

The Institute of Technology and Management (ITM), GIDA, Gorakhpur, takes immense pride in sharing that Mr. Shubham Pandey, a B.Tech. student in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), has received a special personal invitation to attend an event at NASA Headquarters, Washington, D.C., USA.

The event, “Return from Orbit: An Astronaut Conversation with Chris Williams,” brings the excitement of human space exploration into focus through an astronaut conversation about returning from space, spaceflight experiences, and 241 days life beyond Earth.

Shubham has also received an email from NASA confirming his registration for the event.
Adding to this milestone, he has been associated with several NASA-associated space missions, trainings and programmes, including Artemis II Launch, Artemis II Splashdown, NG-24, CRS-34, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope programme, NASA’s SpaceX Crew-13 Mission, and CRS-35. His interests also span space science, remote sensing, GIS, Earth observation, satellite systems, and research.

Igniting Young Minds, Inspiring Innovation at ITM GIDA, Gorakhpur!
Celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam – The Missile Man of India
Institute of Technology & Management (ITM), GIDA, Gorakhpur, in collaboration with The Institution of Engineers (India), Gorakhpur Local Centre, successfully organised a spectacular Rocket Launching Programme and Innovative Ideas Exhibition to commemorate the birth anniversary of former President and visionary scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Shyam Bihari Agarwal, Secretary, ITM, along with distinguished dignitaries, including Joint Secretary Shri Anuj Agrawal and eminent academicians and engineers.
Rocket Launching: The student-developed rocket was successfully launched by the Chief Guest, demonstrating the students' technical ingenuity, scientific curiosity and practical understanding of aerospace technology.
Innovative Ideas Exhibition: Students showcased remarkable working models, pioneering technical concepts and creative scientific posters. Outstanding projects were evaluated by an expert jury, and deserving participants were felicitated with medals and certificates.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. N.K. Singh, Director, ITM GIDA and Chairman, IEI Gorakhpur Local Centre, highlighted Dr. Kalam's extraordinary legacy and emphasised the significance of experiential learning, scientific temperament, research and innovation in shaping future technocrats.
Another significant highlight was the inauguration of the newly constructed CC road within the institute premises by the Chief Guest, marking another milestone in ITM's infrastructural development.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Vineet Rai, while the proceedings were conducted by Ms. Shalini Singh. Distinguished guests, faculty members, staff and students enthusiastically participated in the celebration.
