: Ngayong ika-165 anibersaryo ng kapanganakan ng ating pambansang bayani na si Dr. Jose Rizal, nais ibahagi ni Sen. Loren Legarda sa publiko ang dokumentaryong 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘴, isang proyektong inilunsad ng kanyang tanggapan noong 2021 sa pakikipagtulungan sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Sa direksyon ni yumaong Floy Quintos, isinasalaysay ng dokumentaryo ang unang paglalakbay ni Rizal sa Europa, kung saan hinarap niya ang maraming pagsubok, kabilang ang kahirapan at diskriminasyon. Sa kabila ng mga ito, nagpatuloy siya sa kanyang adhikain at naging isa sa pinakamahalagang personalidad sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas.

Naisipan ni Sen. Loren na gawin ang dokumentaryong ito matapos ang kanyang pagbisita sa Heidelberg at Wilhelmsfeld noong 2019, kung saan nakilala niya si Dr. Fritz Hack Ullmer, apo sa tuhod ni Pastor Karl Ullmer, na tumanggap at nagpatuloy kay Rizal sa kanilang tahanan sa Wilhelmsfeld sa loob ng tatlong buwan.

Sa paggunita sa kanyang buhay at mga ambag, muli nating balikan ang mga aral na kanyang iniwan—mga aral na nananatiling mahalaga at makabuluhan hanggang sa kasalukuyan.

Sa paggunita natin sa temang "𝘒𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘢𝘯, 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯, 𝘒𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯," binibigyang-pugay ng Batangas State University, The National Engineering University ang katapangan at sakripisyo ng mga Pilipinong nagtaguyod ng ating kasarinlan, na humantong sa makasaysayang pagproklama ng kalayaan ng bansa noong Hunyo 12, 1898 matapos ang mahigit tatlong siglo ng kolonyal na pamamahala.

Ang kalayaang ating tinatamasa ngayon ay bunga ng isang makulay at makabuluhang kasaysayan, isang pamana na patuloy nating pinagyayaman sa pamamagitan ng kaalaman, inobasyon, at paglilingkod sa bayan.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang mga aral ng nakaraan upang sama-sama nating hubugin ang isang mas matatag, mas maunlad, at mas makabagong kinabukasan para sa bawat Pilipino.

The first cohort of 21 professionals from major Aboitiz LIMA Estate locators has successfully completed the Industry Microcredentialing Program in Data Management, delivered by Batangas State University’s Center for Innovation in Engineering Education - CIEE.

By embedding learning directly into industrial operations, this initiative equips employees with practical skills that drive efficiency, strengthen data governance, and prepare the workforce for the demands of tomorrow.

Marked by a strong spirit of unity and sportsmanship, Batangas State University, The National Engineering University (BatStateU The NEU), officially opened the President’s Cup Season 10 under the theme, “One BatStateU: Building Stronger Bonds Through Sports and Active Living.”

Now on its 10th season, the President’s Cup continues to serve as one of the University’s key platforms for fostering camaraderie, discipline, teamwork, and school pride among faculty and staff, alumni, and stakeholders across the Red Spartan community.

The opening ceremony gathered delegates from the University’s five constituent campuses—Pablo Borbon, Alangilan, Lipa, ARASOF-Nasugbu, and JPLPC-Malvar—along with the Central Administration, BatStateU alumni, and the Parents-Teachers Association, highlighting the University’s culture of inclusivity and shared pride as each delegation marched with enthusiasm during the entrance of teams.

This year’s President’s Cup features a series of athletic competitions including basketball, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis. The games will run from May 28 to June 22, 2026, and will be held at BatStateU Alangilan, serving as a platform to showcase athletic talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship among members of the BatStateU community.

In his message, University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo underscored that the President’s Cup is more than a sporting event—it is a celebration of unity and a reflection of the University’s core values. He reminded all participants to “play with integrity,” emphasizing honor, respect, and sportsmanship as guiding principles both on and off the field.

Adding vibrance to the program was the Presentation of Muses, where each delegation proudly introduced its representative. Ms. Kimberly Hornilla of BatStateU Alangilan earned recognition for her exemplary poise and representation.

The event's most anticipated moment came as Dr. Ronquillo formally declared the opening of President’s Cup Season 10, officially signaling the start of another season dedicated to athletic excellence, teamwork, and institutional pride. He also led the ceremonial toss, symbolizing unity, friendship, and the enduring spirit that binds the community as One BatStateU.

The President’s Cup Season 10 highlights the University’s commitment to active living and community building, strengthening connections and fostering a deeper sense of belonging through sports.
