On October 10, 2026, the MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy commemorated 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 at the MMMA Gymnasium, gathering cadets, Formation Officers, their families, and the Guidance Team in support of mental health awareness. Guided by the theme “𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱: 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲,” the occasion encouraged everyone to recognize the importance of listening, understanding, and supporting one another.
The program brought the audience together through musical performances by cadets and Formation Officers, as well as special presentations from 𝗖𝗢𝗚 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 and the 𝗧𝗞 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. These moments highlighted how shared experiences and collective support can help create a more caring and understanding community.
Beyond the performances, the celebration reinforced the value of mental wellness in shaping confident, resilient, and compassionate individuals. As MMMA continues to prepare future maritime professionals, the event served as a reminder that true strength is not only measured by discipline and competence, but also by the ability to care for oneself and others.
