On October 28, 2026, the project team of "The Write Way: A Capacity Building for Academic and Research Writing", an initiative of the Department of Languages and Literature successfully conducted its final activity implementation at Manuel L. Quezon National High School in Quezon, San Isidro, Isabela.

The session was actively participated in by junior and senior high school students currently taking research subjects, alongside their dedicated faculty mentors who guide them in their research undertakings.

With the successful culmination of this activity, the partnership between the Department of Languages and Literature and Manuel L. Quezon National High School continues to flourish. Looking ahead, another project is already scheduled for implementation next year to further sustain this collaborative effort.

The Department of Languages and Literature successfully held the final phase of "Empowering Barangay Constituents Through Communication Writing" on October 17, 2026, in Barangay Pangal Norte, Echague, Isabela.

The event was graced by Barangay Captain Hon. Leonilo C. Rivera Jr., and actively attended by local officials, SK leaders, and residents of Brgy. Pangal Norte.

This successful event marks the official completion and culmination of the said project this 2026.

Department of Languages and Literature (DLL) Conducts Extension Visits to Barangay Pangal Norte and Manuel L. Quezon National High School

On October 7, 2026 the faculty extensionists of the Department of Languages and Literature conducted preparatory visits to Barangay Pangal Norte and Manuel L. Quezon National High School to discuss the final phase of their community engagement projects.

The team successfully conferred with Barangay Captain Mr. Leonilo Rivera regarding the participation of barangay constituents. Additionally, a productive coordination meeting was held with the principal of Manuel L. Quezon National High School, Dr. Rolynda I. Cruz, to finalize details for the student-focused initiatives.

Following these successful discussions, two key DLL activities have been officialized. The extension activity for the constituents of Barangay Pangal Norte is set to take place on October 7, 2026 while the engagement for Manuel L. Quezon National High School, which will be participated in by Junior and Senior High School students, is scheduled for October 29, 2026.

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) marked a significant milestone today, October 8, 2026, during the university's In-House Review for Completed Extension Projects.

In a strong display of academic and community leadership, CAS successfully presented five completed extension projects for official review.

The accomplishments comprise one externally funded initiative and four internally funded projects, reflecting the college's sustained capacity to secure diverse resource streams for sustainable community development.

This achievement underscores the institution's ongoing mission to translate academic research into actionable, real-world solutions that uplift lives and empower local communities.

Isabela State University (ISU) will conduct an onboarding session for the Isabela State University Extensionists' Paperless Review, Evaluation, and Submission System (ISU-ExPRESS).

⏰ Time: 2:00 in the afternoon
💻 Platform: Google Meet

The session will be facilitated by Dr. Ronald Rivera, Campus Director for Community Engagement Services of ISU – Angadanan Campus, who will serve as the resource speaker.

The onboarding aims to familiarize ISU extensionists with ISU-ExPRESS, a digital workflow platform developed to support the paperless review, evaluation, and submission of extension-related documents. The system is intended to make the process more organized, efficient, and accessible.

All concerned extensionists are encouraged to participate and take this opportunity to learn more about the system and its proper use.

Let us work together toward a more efficient and digital approach to extension services.

On September 29, 2026, college community engagement coordinators gathered at the Office of Campus Community Engagement for an insightful meeting led by Campus Community Engagement Director, Dr. Ma. Theresa L. Eustaquio.

Key discussions focused on:
🔹 Aligning 2027 project proposals with the core thrusts and agenda of the university
🔹 Finalizing activity schedules and timelines
🔹 Preparing for the upcoming in-house review of ongoing and completed extension projects

Through strategic planning and continuous collaboration, the campus community engagement team remains dedicated to bridging academic excellence and community impact for a meaningful, sustainable future! 💡🌐
