Behind every successful webinar are the people who work behind the scenes. From preparation to the actual event, our JTPC Officers came together, taking on different roles and working as one team to make the celebration happen.

As we reflect on this year’s theme, “𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺,” we are reminded that while technology continues to shape tourism, it is still the people behind every initiative who bring ideas to life.

A celebration made possible through teamwork, dedication, and a shared passion for tourism.

𝓟𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓿𝓮, 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓿𝓮, 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓣𝓪𝓴𝓮 𝓐𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷

Last June, our communities were shaken by several earthquakes, particularly the earthquake that occurred on June 8, 2026, and was followed by a series of aftershocks.
The earthquakes impacted various parts of our communities, causing damage not only to our infrastructure but also to our surroundings and natural ecosystems, such as our mangrove areas.

As we celebrate 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the Junior Tourism Professional Council officers along with selected teachers initiated to plant mangroves and donated bamboo sticks to strengthen and support the growth and the restoration of the affected mangroves. Through this initiative, we helped to restore and preserve our mangrove ecosystems for future generations.

This simple action may seem small, but it will create a lasting impact. May this inspire us to take a step towards a greener, healthier, and brighter future. 🌱💚

As part of the World Tourism Day Forum, our speakers shared their insights on “𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺,” focusing on the role of AI in tourism marketing, customer experience, and industry operations. The discussions highlighted how AI is helping the tourism industry improve convenience, efficiency, and service operations by streamlining tasks, supporting marketing efforts, and creating more personalized experiences for travelers.

At the same time, tourism and hospitality remain industries built around people and human connection. While AI can make services more efficient, guests still value genuine interaction, empathy, understanding, and the warmth of human hospitality. As we embrace new technology, we must remain human—using AI to support and enhance tourism while keeping empathy, connection, and genuine hospitality at the heart of every experience.
