Kabankalan Catholic College, Inc. (KCC) continues to strengthen its commitment to research excellence and professional development through participation in the Association of Scholarly Editors, Inc. Training Workshop on AI-Assisted Netnographic Methodology, held on October 27–29, 2026, at Castle Peak Hotel, Cebu City.

Representing KCC in this learning opportunity is Ms. Jorlyn Valdez, RCrim, Research Coordinator of the College of Criminology, who participated in the training aimed at enhancing research competencies and exploring innovative approaches to scholarly inquiry.

The workshop featured Dr. Renan P. Limjuco, a web-based research methodologist, as the speaker and lecturer. The two-day training comprised 14 sessions focusing on Netnography, particularly Kozinets’ Six Movements, a systematic framework for understanding online communities, digital interactions, and shared experiences.

The training highlighted how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can assist researchers in managing and analyzing large volumes of online data more efficiently. It also emphasized that responsible AI integration must be supported by human verification, informed consent, and data privacy safeguards to uphold the accuracy, credibility, and ethical integrity of research.

By integrating Kozinets’ framework with the responsible use of AI, researchers can strengthen their methodological competence and produce meaningful, reliable, and publishable findings in an increasingly digital research environment.

This professional development initiative reflects KCC’s continuing commitment to methodological innovation, ethical research practices, and a stronger institutional research culture.

Congratulations to Ms. Valdez for representing Kabankalan Catholic College, Inc. in this valuable learning endeavor! 👏🎓
