Behind every frame is a life caught between survival and spectacle. In a world where tears gather views and misery becomes currency, the suffering of the poor is no longer simply witnessed. It is packaged, displayed, and consumed for the entertainment of an audience.

We speak of compassion, yet too often mistake witnessing suffering for understanding it. When poverty becomes content and hardship turns into entertainment, are we giving the poor a voice, or simply making their struggles another spectacle for public consumption?

Pursuant to Office of the University President Memorandum Order No. 757, series of 2026, the Academic Integration Period will be observed from October 29 to 31, with students and faculty members across all campuses of Batangas State University excused from physically reporting to the University during the three-day period.

Meanwhile, the remaining games of Intramural 2026 at Batangas State University The NEU JPLPC-Malvar Campus are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, November 3.
