But being a mother is not just about giving birth. A mother can also be a grandmother, an aunt, a sister, a guardian, or anyone who chooses to nurture, guide, and love with a mother’s heart. Today, we honor all the women who have taken on this extraordinary role in our lives.

Transition of Leadership: PICE - Zamboanga del Sur Chapter Gears Up for Oath-Taking and Induction Ceremonies 2026

SIKWATE HOUSE, ​PAGADIAN CITY — Preparations for the 2026 PICE-ZDS CHAPTER Oath-Taking and Induction Ceremonies moved into high gear yesterday, April 30, following a strategic transition meeting between outgoing and incoming chapter leadership.

​The assembly, led by outgoing President Engr. Reynerio Alcachupas and incoming President Engr. Gerry Nebria, served as a critical handoff of responsibilities and a finalization of logistics for the upcoming regional event.

​A Collaborative Blueprint

​A central highlight of the session was the active participation of the SMC Student Chapter of the PICE - Association of Civil Engineering Students (PICE-ACES). The student body, supervised by External Adviser Engr. Nen Victorama, formally presented their logistical support plans and committee designations.

​PICE-ACES President Michelle Mande, alongside her fellow student officers, detailed the specific roles their committees will play in ensuring the ceremony’s success. This collaboration underscores a long-standing tradition of mentorship within the Zamboanga del Sur engineering community, bridging the gap between seasoned professionals and the next generation of civil engineers.

​Leadership Continuity: Engr. Alcachupas and Engr. Nebria focused on maintaining the chapter’s momentum through the leadership change.
​Committee Mobilization: Student officers presented structured reports on event organization and excellence-driven ex*****on.
​Synergy in Action: The meeting emphasized the "spirit of collaboration" between the professional chapter and its student counterparts at Southern Mindanao Colleges.
​As the Oath-Taking and Induction 2026 nears, the PICE-Zamboanga del Sur Chapter remains committed to a seamless transition that honors professional standards while empowering the youth within the association.
