To help participants gain practical knowledge about data privacy and protection, how artificial intelligence (AI) tools collect, process, and occasionally expose personal data, and the implications for privacy compliance in an AI-driven workplace, Manuel L. Quezon University will host a Data Protection Training with AI Integration program in January 2027.

“Libreng Konsultasyong Legal: Para sa Bayan at Para sa Batas”

To provide free legal assistance to the community and allow law students to gain practical experience in handling clients and assisting lawyers, the Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) School of Law, through its Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP), conducted a Legal Aid Caravan on October 24, 2026, at the Museo ni Manuel L. Quezon.

CLEP students coordinated with lawyers from the MLQU School of Law faculty and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Quezon City Chapter, who served as Lawyers of the Day, with CLEP students assisting them.

Free legal advice and assistance, including contract preparation and document notarization, were offered to community members.

In addition, to promote awareness of legal concerns related to online lending, an online lending awareness discussion was held for the companions of the clients during the day.

Another CLEP Legal Caravan will be held on December 12, 2026.

FACULTY SPOTLIGHT | MLQU SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

Meet Engr. Joyce R. Tan-Arroyo, a faculty member of the MLQU School of Engineering since 2018.

With her five years of experience in government procurement, including local and foreign-assisted projects funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Engr. Tan-Arroyo has also proven her skill in managing high-impact projects such as Mindanao initiatives and the Administration’s Big-Ticket Projects.

Meanwhile, as an Engineer III at the Central Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways, she leverages her extensive field experience and impactful contributions to inspire and empower Quezonians to become leaders and builders of society.

Her dedication not only shapes infrastructure in the country but also nurtures the potential of the next generation of engineers, fostering growth and development inside and outside MLQU.

Stallions ready to leave a lasting mark! ⛹️✨

The MLQU Stallions officially take the court as the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) Season 24 kicks off on October 21, 2026, at the Makati Coliseum, Makati City.

With Head Coach Joshua Nicholas at the helm, the Stallions are focused on a stronger defensive strategy as they aim for a serious run to the finals.

For their first match, the Stallions will face the Philippine Christian University on October 23, 2026, at 1:15 p.m. at PCU Taft Avenue in Malate, Manila.
