Aspiring Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers under the LINAWA Partylist presented their platforms, programs, and advocacies during the Miting de Avance on October 26, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall of Pangasinan State University - San Carlos City Campus.

With LINAWA as the sole partylist vying for the positions, candidates for the Executive and Legislative Councils, along with the aspiring governors, faced the studentry to discuss their proposed initiatives and respond to questions from students. The assembly gave voters an opportunity to examine the candidates’ plans and learn how they intend to represent student concerns.

During the open forum, the aspiring SSC president was asked about her vision for the student body. She emphasized the need for a council that serves all students, not merely one that exists to fulfill its organizational role. Among her proposed priorities was providing students with equal opportunities to participate in seminars, training sessions, and similar activities.

Campus Executive Director Dr. Gudelia M. Samson delivered a message of support and encouragement, noting the importance of the assembly in helping students get to know the candidates and make informed choices about the leaders who will represent them in the administration. Dr. Samson also underscored the university administration’s student-centered approach, which places students’ needs and interests at the heart of campus governance.

The Miting de Avance was organized under the supervision of the Student Electoral Tribunal, advised by Ms. Jasmine Joy Aquino, with assistance from Dr. Bobby B. Dela Cruz, Dean of Student Services and Alumni Affairs.

Through the assembly, students had the opportunity to hear the candidates’ proposals firsthand before choosing the next set of student leaders.

Pangasinan State University - San Carlos Campus reviewed its Fiscal Year 2026 targets and mapped out strategies to meet its remaining deliverables during a planning meeting on October 22 at the Audio Visual Room, attended by campus process owners.

Presided over by Campus Executive Director Dr. Gudelia M. Samson, the meeting examined the status of planned targets and the actions needed to advance them. Dr. Samson called on process owners to assess their respective responsibilities, identify priorities, and prepare concrete steps toward meeting the campus’ commitments for the fiscal year.

Guided by her leadership mantra, Dr. Samson encouraged the process owners to aim higher, take purposeful action, and turn their plans into measurable results. The discussion also set the direction for subsequent meetings, in which process owners will further refine their strategies and determine the specific activities needed to achieve their targets.

Planning Coordinator Mr. Joshua Maru De Guzman assisted in the meeting, helping process owners review their plans and identify ways to advance their respective deliverables.

The succeeding planning sessions will continue to focus on careful review, strategic action, and monitoring of the campus’ FY 2026 targets.
