𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | The National Service Training Program (NSTP) students of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) attended the 2nd International Peace Education Seminar, themed “Peace Starts With Education: Learning Today, Changing Tomorrow,” on October 30, 2026 at the ULS New Gymnasium.

Anchored on the spirit of Timpuyog Saletino: Transforming Inter-University Partnerships into Community-Driven Collaborative Efforts, the seminar highlighted the value of collaboration among educational institutions and partner organizations in advancing peace education and community engagement initiatives.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | The Human Development Center (HDC) of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS), in collaboration with the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), held the Mental Wellness Program for faculty and staff on October 30, 2026 at the 3rd floor of the CPD Building, as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.

Dr. Wilfrido F. Simbul presented the student-at-risk data, Ms. Chloe Neziah B. Mandac lectured on mental wellness and stress management, and Ar. Jeffrey E. Dela Cruz shared his personal experiences.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | The College of Business Education (CBE) of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) participated in the 2026 Santiago City Consumer Summit on October 28, 2026, at Robinsons Place Santiago.

Mr. Don Sergs Elyser Laureta, LPT, delivered a presentation on “Consumer Education in Schools: Building Awareness and Responsibility”.

During the summit, Don Sergs Elyser Laureta, Jaypee Fernan M. Ramirez, Ephraim E. Abat, and Rubylinda Gaffud, who serve as ULS G**o Kong Certified Consumer Advocacy Teachers (CCATs), received recognition for their performance in the TAPAT Spotter Challenge.

Meanwhile, members of the ULS Buyers Informed, Defended, Advocated and Consumer Alliance (BIDACA) presented their proposed consumer education projects for Academic Year 2026–2027, highlighting initiatives designed to strengthen consumer awareness and advocacy among students and the wider community.

𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 | Short Wellness Break in Observance of All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day

In observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, and in recognition of the importance of rest, reflection, and time with family, the University announces a Short Wellness Break from Saturday, October 31, to Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

This break gives our community the opportunity to visit and pray for departed loved ones, travel home to their families, and pause from academic and work demands to recharge in body, mind, and spirit.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | The College of Medicine and Allied Medical Programs (CMAMP) Extension Unit of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) trained Barangay Health Workers in Nabbuan, Santiago City, on October 26 in the proper handling, dispensing and recording of medicines, with volunteer Pharmacy students leading the sessions.

ULS also donated medicines and supplements to the Nabbuan Barangay Health Unit.

This initiative is part of ULS HealthLink Program, a CMAMP extension project that promotes capacity-building, technology transfer, and knowledge sharing to empower community health workers and strengthen community healthcare in partner communities.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | The College of Information Technology (CIT) Extension Unit of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) conducted a Community Computer Hardware Servicing Program during the Barangay Assembly of Nabbuan, Santiago City, on October 24, 2026, providing hardware inspection, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and basic repair assistance to residents and teachers in the community.

CIT students worked alongside faculty members and extension personnel throughout the activity, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge in a community setting.

This initiative is part of the ULS DigiSulong Program, a CIT extension project focused on digital literacy, ICT skills development, and technology transfer to empower communities through digital innovation and inclusive technology access.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | ULS-CCJE Launches Project MENTOR to Boost Criminology Exam Pass Rates

The University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS), through the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) and in partnership with the Association of Criminology Students (ACS), launched Project MENTOR at the ULS Audio-Visual Room on October 20, 2026.

The program aims to raise major examination passing rates by at least 25% by the end of the academic year by engaging 100% of criminology students.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The Office of the Vice President for Administration and the Human Resource Management Office of the University of La Salette, Inc. conducted IGNITE 2.0: Transformative Education on October 16, 2026, at the Ground Floor of the Center for Professional Development (CPD) Building.

Rev. Fr. Pedro Q. Dolar, MS, MA, Vice President for Administration, served as the lecturer. Non-academic office heads and non-teaching personnel attended the session.
