NUR International University organized an insightful lecturette on “Role Models in Islam: The Legacy of Hazrat Khadija (RA) and Hazrat Ayesha (RA)” under the leadership of Dr. Amna Irum.

The session was delivered by Dr. Umbreen Sajjad — Islamic Scholar, Researcher & Educator; Member, Board of Directors – Alhuda International Welfare Foundation; and Chairperson – ARCC, AIWF.

The lecture highlighted the inspiring lives, wisdom, and enduring contributions of Hazrat Khadija (RA) and Hazrat Ayesha (RA), emphasizing their roles as remarkable examples of faith, leadership, knowledge, and resilience for Muslim women and society at large.

We sincerely thank Dr. Umbreen Sajjad for sharing her valuable insights and all participants for their enthusiastic engagement.

An Insightful Learning Experience!

The Department of Diagnostic Sciences successfully conducted an engaging workshop on “The Physics of Radiography: Radiation Protection and Practical Shielding Demonstrations.”

Special thanks to our guest speaker, Dr. Noman Amjad, for his interactive and informative session on radiation protection. Students greatly benefited from the hands-on demonstrations of radiation detectors and shielding techniques.

We also appreciate the efforts of Ms. Fatima Hassan, Ms. Aqsa Hafeez, and Ms. Kaynat Shahzad for organizing and managing this successful educational workshop so professionally.

The Institute of Faculty Development, NUR International University, successfully conducted a training session titled “From Knowledge to Impact: Faculty Leadership in Sustainability and Innovation” on 22 May 2026.

The session was led by Dr. Nusrat Ehsan, Director of Eco Bizz Solutions and Assistant Professor at LBS, UOL, and was moderated by Dr. Amna Mahmood, HOD Biochemistry and Coordinator, IFD.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Nusrat Ehsan for her valuable insights and to all faculty members for their active participation. The session focused on exploring sustainable academic leadership and innovative practices in higher education.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Trauma Management (BTM) course was successfully completed for both National and International participants, particularly Palestinian nationals, who attended the course free of cost under a humanitarian and academic support initiative. The course was jointly organized by NUR International University Lahore and Fatima Memorial Hospital Lahore in coordination with COMSTECH.

A total of 231 participants from diverse nationalities, including Pakistan, Palestine, Nigeria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Ghana, and Mexico, were registered in the course, reflecting its international outreach and collaborative spirit.

The Closing Ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Iqbal Choudhary Coordinator General COMSTECH, Prof. Dr. Tayyab Abbas Principal Fatima Memorial Hospital Medical and Dental College, and Prof. Dr. Farooq Anwar Pro-Vice Chancellor NUR International University Lahore.

E-certificates were issued to all participants upon successful completion of the course. During the Closing Ceremony, certificates of appreciation were also awarded to the instructors and organizers in recognition of their valuable contributions, dedication, and efforts toward the successful ex*****on of the program.

The NUR Institute of Food Sciences successfully organised a study tour to Haleeb Foods Limited and Wardah Foods on 14th May. The students gained practical exposure to various production operation, helping students connect classroom concepts with real industrial workflows. Such industry visits are essential to bridge academic learning with practical experience and to prepare students for professional roles in the food sector. Grateful to both organizations for their hospitality and support.

Later, Prof. Dr. Tahir delivered a detailed presentation on NIU’s degree programs and scholarship opportunities to industry representatives, highlighting academic pathways, eligibility criteria, and financial support options for collaboration and workforce development.
