October 28th sets aside National First Responders Day to honor the men and women who act quickly when an emergency is at hand.
First responders dedicate their lives to save lives. They are the people who run toward a crisis while the rest of the world flees.
I want to take this opportunity to personally thank each of you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving the Albany State University community. As first responders, we are often called upon during difficult and unpredictable situations, yet you continue to answer the call with courage, professionalism, and compassion.
As we recognize this special day, I encourage everyone to take pride in the work we do and remember the impact we have on the lives of those we serve.
Thank you for your service, your sacrifices, and your continued dedication to the profession.
Happy National First Responders Day! Stay safe and continue to look out for one another.
