Last Monday, Student Government partnered with Steuben County School’s FIST program to gather cans and non perishables for the YouCanCrushHunger Fundraiser. We were met with lots of generosity and success! You can donate in several drop boxes in the UC and around campus!

Hey Thunder,
You probably saw us measuring waste in the cafe over the last few weeks.

We averaged 135 pounds of waste during lunch.

We want you to know:
Students, you have control over your portion sizes. Don’t be afraid to speak to the servers!

It is our choice to eat responsibly, so only take what you can eat.

We collected the waste from plates in the cafe today during lunch. The results are shocking! Over 125 pounds of waste in 3 hours! The cafe is all you can eat but it’s important to be mindful and only take what you can actually eat. We will do this again after fall break and aim to reduce the amount of waste!
