Since 1931 when GSE was established, over 20,000 students have graduated and moved on to successful careers as university presidents and administrators, principals, superintendents, psychologists, counselors, information specialists, librarians, teachers, faculty and outstanding researchers. Our alumni are found in their professions all over the world. GSE houses four departments: Counseling, Scho

ol and Educational Psychology (CSEP); Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP); Learning and Instruction (LAI); and Information Science (IS). Caroline Attardo Genco, provost and senior vice president at Tufts University, has been named ’s 16th president, becoming the first woman and Buffalo native to lead the university. Her appointment was approved by the SUNY Board of Trustees Tuesday following an international search.

’s new fully online, part-time master’s in higher education administration is designed for working professionals who want to grow into leadership roles across student services, academic affairs, enrollment management and beyond.

The 33-credit program can be completed in approximately two years, with coursework focused on leadership, student success, policy and equity.
