Big Thought and SMU are headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico!

Lela Bell Wesley will join SMU Dance faculty member Christie Bondade and SMU Dance senior Lauren Lawshe at the 2026 National Dance Education Organization Conference, September 24-27.

Their interactive workshop, “Teaching, Attuning, and Reciprocal Learning,” draws from SMU’s 15-year partnership with Highland Park United Methodist Church’s Belong Disability Ministry and its collaboration with Big Thought. Together, they’ll explore how inclusive dance can strengthen access, listening, learning and community connection. ❤️
