The University of North Texas College of Engineering is proud to celebrate Dr. Andrey Voevodin, professor of UNT Department of Materials Science and Engineering and our Associate Dean for Research, on being named the 2026 R.F. Bunshah Award and ICMCTF Lecture Recipient by the International Conference on Metallurgical Coatings and Thin Films.
This prestigious honor recognizes sustained and pioneering contributions to the science and technology of coatings, thin films and surface engineering. Dr. Voevodin’s work has advanced high-performance materials for extreme environments, strengthened industry partnerships and expanded the global impact of our research enterprise. His scholarship, innovation and mentorship continue to shape the future of materials science both at UNT and across the international research community.
The R.F. Bunshah Award, presented in association with AVS - Science & Technology of Materials, Interfaces, and Processing, is one of the field’s highest distinctions. Being selected to deliver the ICMCTF Lecture underscores the depth and influence of Dr. Voevodin’s contributions.
