Today’s Wisdom Wednesday: The Science of Compassion
Like most medical antidepressants, kindness stimulates the production of serotonin. This feel-good chemical heals wounds, calms the nervous system, and boosts happiness (Talya Steinberg, Psy.D, Psychology Today). Beyond just a mood boost, kindness has been shown to decrease pain, stress, anxiety, and blood pressure (Random Acts of Kindness Foundation).
God’s Intricate Design
We can see the biological evidence of a Creator’s handiwork. Kindness isn't just another religious "to-do" on a checklist; it is a fundamental part of God’s intricate design for our holistic wellness and the well-being of those around us. Science is simply catching up to what the Word has always known.
Kindness: Pass it on!
"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living." - Psalm 27:13 (NKJV)
