COB students took a business trip to Germany earlier this summer. 🇩🇪

The goal was to expand the Pirate network and open the possibilities of employment and internships overseas. 🌍

There were a lot of great connections with German companies Adam Hörnig and Linde, as well as the opportunity to learn more about BMW and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Who is that interning on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange!? 👀

Class of 2028's Luke Hansen is a rotational summer intern with SRT Securities in NYC. Luke is shadowing traders and market makers to learn all about the process – receiving an order, pricing it and sending it to other firms. 📈

Hansen participated in the COB's student-run Blacksail Fund. The money made from the fund helps support student travel, like the annual NYC fall trip. Luke was on the trip last fall and started networking with people at the NYSE. His networking and experiential learning with the Blacksail Fund helped him earn this internship. 🏴‍☠️

We have no doubt Luke is growing that Pirate network this summer in NYC, which will benefit fellow students next fall. Keep up the great work, Luke!
