This spring, photography students had the incredible opportunity to learn from JMU alumna Gabriella Chase (BFA ’15), now Public Programs Manager at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
Through a series of engaging visits, a behind-the-scenes museum tour in Washington, DC, and a creative “cake exchange” community event, students explored experimental photography while connecting art to real-world practice.
From documenting hands-on projects to building professional connections, the experience left a lasting impact—sparking inspiration and opening doors for future opportunities in the DC arts community.
A huge thank you to the CVPA Alumni Mentor Program for supporting this meaningful collaboration!
