Starting October 28 we will be having an ofrenda at the Office of Graduate Studies LIB N A124 to honor our loved ones. An ofrenda is an altar where you can place food, pictures, candles, or a personal item to dedicate your loved ones. You can bring a picture, a candle or a personal item. No food please.

Good news! Our Getting Started on the Thesis Workshophas been rescheduled and will take place this Friday, September 25.
If you’ve recently advanced to candidacy or are beginning your thesis research units, this workshop is a great opportunity to get organized, ask questions, and create a clear plan for moving forward.
Getting Started on the Thesis
We’ll cover practical tips and resources to help you navigate the early stages of your thesis, including:

👥 Working effectively with your thesis committee
🗓️ Creating a realistic timeline toward completion
✅ Breaking the thesis process into manageable steps

Summer 2026 Deadlines

Deadline 1 – Preliminary Review Appointment: July 24, 2026
Deadline 2 – Initial Upload to ProQuest: July 31, 2026
Deadline 3 – Final Draft & GS-13 Submission: August 7, 2026
A Thesis Reviewer is available to help you with formatting requirements and answer questions about the submission process. We strongly encourage you to schedule a preliminary review appointment early so you have ample time to make any necessary formatting revisions before the final submission deadlines.

The last day to schedule a preliminary review appointment is: July 24, 2026
