One of our FAVORITE days of the year at Merced College!

Our campus was filled with smiles, laughter and the cutest costumes as the children from our Child Development Center made their way through the Quad for their annual Halloween parade!

Departments from across campus got into the Halloween spirit, dressing up and lining the Quad to cheer on our little visitors and their families!

There's just something special about seeing our entire college community come together to create these fun memories.

So many smiles, so much excitement and so much cuteness!

Thank you to our Child Development Center, participating departments and families for making this one of the sweetest traditions at Merced College!

Happy early Halloween from our littlest Blue Devils!

After more than 50 years of bringing music to life at Merced College, our 1972 Steinway concert grand piano has been beautifully restored!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Merced College alumni and longtime supporters Grey Roberts and Bette Woolstenhulme, a $46,000 restoration has given this treasured instrument new life.

The restored piano will continue to inspire our music students and bring beautiful performances to our community for generations to come.

A heartfelt thank-you to Grey and Bette for investing in the future of music and the arts at Merced College!

And stay tuned! We're planning a free community concert this spring to celebrate its return!

Today, Merced College remembers a trailblazer whose courage, determination and lifelong dedication to farmworkers, education and civil rights helped shape the Central Valley and inspire generations.

As a college rooted in the heart of the Central Valley, we recognize the lasting impact of her work on the families, students and communities we proudly serve.

Her belief in the power of education, opportunity and standing up for others reflects the values we strive to uphold at Merced College every day.

Her legacy lives on through the generations she inspired and the communities she helped empower.

Rest in peace, Dolores Huerta. Sí, se puede.

From Merced College student to helping others find their path! 💙

Meet Veronica Briceno, Enrollment & Retention Specialist at Merced College and this month's Team Spotlight in The Blue Devils Advocate!

Born and raised in South Merced, Veronica's journey began as a student at Merced College, where she discovered new opportunities for herself and her family. Today, she's helping students do the same by guiding them through enrollment, connecting them with support services, and encouraging them to pursue their educational goals.

For Veronica, it's about more than helping students enroll. It's about showing them that college is possible, no matter their background or circumstances.

Her story is a reminder that where you start does not determine where you can go!

For Lily Walker, honoring her daughter Violette means keeping her memory alive, her love close, and her name forever remembered.

While nothing can replace the people we lose, we can find meaningful ways to honor their lives and the love they leave behind.

Honor someone who will forever hold a place in your heart with a plaque at the Alumni Trident.
